IS VAPING SAFE?

That's the question we all want to answer.

It's 95% less harmful than smoking tobacco, but we don't know for sure what the effects are in 10-20 years. That's what we're trying to find out.

Over 3 million people in the UK use vapes. Everyone has an opinion on them, but there isn’t enough data to support those opinions yet.

The E-Cigarette Registry was a database of health data collected from people who quit smoking both with and without switching to vaping. The purpose of the database was to help researchers answer their questions about e-cigarettes.
A TOOL FOR RESEARCHERS
Researchers need to know key things like if vaping affects your risk of getting cancer, or if it has a health affect after a few years that we don't know about yet.

We wanted to use data which is already being collected and link it together to create a resource for researchers. It was an efficient way to use data without making lots of work for doctors and nurses, and for you.
